Background Info:

On October 10th, 2012 Amanda Todd took her life. She was a beautiful 15 year old girl who had made a mistake and was mentally, emotionally and physically bullied by her peers to the point where she felt no other choice than to take her life. We, like most people, heard of this tragedy through the news and on social media sites, (the very sites that enabled her bullies to surround every aspect of her life) we were devastated! As parents we couldn't begin to fathom the pain that her family was going through, and we ached for her, a child who felt that she had no one to turn to. Naturally, we wanted to be outraged, we want to lash out, but knew there was nothing we or anyone could do to bring her back. So, we did the only thing WE could do, and we decided to help make a difference. Kids Help Phone is an amazing organization that tries to be there for our children when we can't, they are there and ready to help in any way they can, but they can't do it alone. Which is why we decided to hold "We Face The Music", as our way to raise awareness about Kids Help Phone, about bullying - in our schools, in our homes, in our work places - and to raise awareness on how we can end BULLYING.
